Home Building Steps- With Pre-Owned Land

  1. Meet with a Banker that has experience in Custom Construction Financing: (approval approx 2-7 days, depending upon client participating & credit)

  2. Meet with the builder within 30 days of the Reservation & start completing a features detail sheet:

  1. Set-up a time to meet with designer to draft plans (takes approx 2-4 weeks after meeting)

  2. Meet with Builder to submit blueprints and detail forms to him.  Builder will then bid out plans & specifications.  (takes approx. 2 weeks after meeting)


  3. Submit blueprints, site plans, specification sheet and cost breakdown sheet & owner/builder contact to bank.


  4. Bank will: (approx 30-45 days after submittal)

    • process

    • order appraisal

    • prepare final loan documents


  5. Builder to submit for permit (10-14 days)


  6. Builder to begin excavation and home construction (approx 4-6 months, subject to weather permitting)
